“I Am Not A Racist But . . .”: Mapping White College Students’ Racial Ideology in the USA


Since 2005, Eduardo Bonilla-Silva has been a Professor of Sociology at Duke University, where he served as Chair of the Department of Sociology from 2012 to 2016. His research areas include racial stratification, social theory, critical race methods, political sociology, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Epistemology In 2018, Professor Bonilla-Silva became President of the American Sociological Association.

Dr. Tyrone Forman serves as Professor in the Departments of African American Studies and Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (2014-Present). Professor Forman has conducted innovative studies of the ways that discrimination and constrained opportunity shape the life experiences of racial and ethnic minorities and sociocultural factors that influence intergroup relations and attitudes among youth and adults He is a former Chair of the American Sociological Association’s Section on Racial and Ethnic Minorities.
