Soong-Chan Rah | Freeing the Church from Western Cultural Captivity

Soong-Chan Rah (ThD, Duke Divinity School) is Robert Munger Professor of Evangelism at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Previously, he served as Milton B. Engebretson Professor of Church Growth and Evangelism at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He is the author of Prophetic LamentThe Next Evangelicalism, and Many Colors, as well as coauthor of Unsettling TruthsForgive Us, and Return to Justice. He earned his DMin and MDiv degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, his ThM from Harvard University, and his BA in Political Science and History/Sociology from Columbia University. He is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church, and in addition to serving as founding senior pastor of the multiethnic, urban ministry-focused Cambridge Community Fellowship Church (CCFC), Dr. Rah has been a part of four different church-planting efforts. An experienced cross cultural preacher and conference speaker, Dr. Rah has addressed thousands around the country at major missions, urban ministry, preaching, seminary and denominational conferences. He and his wife Sue have two children.
